Project 360

Bristol has one of the most exciting and vibrant urban scenes in the UK. With skateboarding and BMXing now included in the 2012 Olympics, extreme sports has never been more popular and the relationship between sport and art never closer. As part of the 2008 UK School Games, Project 360 will deliver an exciting programme showcasing some of the UK's and worlds finest exponents of extreme sports and urban arts, with a spectacular show on each night.

The event will explore the relationships between urban performance and physical activity. What connects B-boys and B-girls with Gymnastics? Have you seen the tricks of the skateboarder matched with skills of a DMC World DJ Champion? Imagine a professional aerialist performing with a competitive rock climber or where some flatland BMX tricksters' choreography is derived from traditional capoeira!

The event will take place on the 30th & 31st August 2008, in the Lloyds Amphitheatre.

Here's what the Watershed says about 'Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?'

From the man who ate fast food for a month in an attempt to Super-Size himself, this is a characteristically frank, fascinating and funny look at the state of our world. In the face of impending fatherhood, Spurlock takes it upon himself to make the world safer for his unborn child and sets out to take on an organisation more lethal than McDonalds – al Qaeda. As he traces bin Laden's trail through Egypt, Morocco, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and finally Pakistan, he meets both the rational and radical faces of the Middle East and investigates where the most wanted man in the world came from, what makes him tick and what exactly created him in the first place.

Virtual Voices - submit your film

Picture of Virtual Voices - submit your film

The Virtual Voices event on 10 July 2008 at the Watershed in Bristol is looking at how to develop young people's voices so they become the media literate content creators and storytellers of the future. The event will bring the media industry together with young media makers and their teachers to explore this and many other issues surrounding young people and media. Virtual Voices will include inspiring speakers, involving workshops and hands-on activities.

As part of the event there will be a screening of films that were made to make a difference. VV are looking for heartfelt projects that you really know and care about. Do you feel that society usually undervalues or misrepresents your views? Do you want to set the record straight? Have you made a film that can instigate social change through your passion and energy? We would like to show the strongest work made by people under the age of 25. If you feel your work is powerful enough to inspire others to follow in your footsteps, then we would like to hear from you. Projects can be film / digital media / photographic or radio and must be no longer than 10 minutes in length.
