FRESH FLIX: Encounters' first Young People's Film Festival

Fresh Flix Film Festival, which is the young person's strand of the Encounters Short Film Festival, is taking place at Cinema Delux in Cabot Circus from 20th - 21st November. Running alongside Encounters, it features work made by young people for a young audience. Alongside all the work screened, there's also loads of great events to get involved in. Details below..

Jonathan Howell: author of Stage Fighting & Master-at-Arms at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. This morning's workshop will look at Fighting for Films - putting together short sequences - using Unarmed Combat (Punches & Kicks); a 'Robin Hood' style Quarterstaff fight;
and some Swashbuckling with Swords. Dress to move.

Bristol-born sculptor Andy Chappell will be sharing his passion for the gruesome and bloody world of Horror in a unique workshop where you can experience some of the techniques involved with becoming a Special Make-up Effects Artist. There will be a face-casting demonstration as well as the opportunity to turn each other into Zombies!
